When polls close on November 2, a handful of Austin voters will have chosen one of two models for Austin’s future. Proposition A would require Austin to pile on to what is already one of the largest and most well-funded police forces in the state. Austin’s Police Chief, Fire Chief and Emergency Services all agree that Austin will be less safe if this draconian proposition passes.
Defeating Proposition A will give us a chance to fund what actually keeps us safe: ambulances and fire stations; mental health services and addiction counseling; swimming pools and libraries.
The numbers are clear. There is no way Austin can pay for both. We need your help to defeat Prop A!
